When should I book a closure wig service?
A closure wig is the right choice if you want your wig made with bundles and a lace closure. A closure is a lace piece that covers part of the top of the wig.
Closures are available in different sizes, such as 2x6, 4x4 and 5x5. The size you choose depends on the look you want and how much styling versatility you prefer.
When should I book a frontal wig service?
Book a frontal wig if you want your wig made with bundles and a lace frontal. A frontal covers the entire front of the wig, from ear to ear, and is available in sizes such as 13x4 and 13x6.
When should I book a flip over wig service?
A flip over wig is the right choice if you want to keep your own hairline visible. A flip over wig does not use a lace piece, meaning there is no closure or frontal.
The hair is designed to sit around your natural hairline, creating a natural look without lace at the front.
Please keep in mind that you need enough hair and a sufficiently full hairline to wear a flip over wig comfortably and achieve the desired look. Ultimately, the choice comes down to your personal preference and the look you want to achieve.
When should I book a Revamp Service?
Book a Revamp Service when your wig needs to be refreshed, restored or restyled. This can include washing, conditioning, detangling, refreshing the curl or wave pattern, and styling the wig.
A Revamp is a great option when your wig is still in good condition but needs some extra care to bring it back to life.
Wigs made by Celeste Hair or another hair vendor can be revamped. The condition of the wig will be assessed to determine what can be done.
Please keep in mind that heavily tangled or matted hair, as well as severely damaged hair or lace, may require additional time and care and can affect the final result. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee that every wig can be fully restored.
When should I book a Replacement Service?
Book a Replacement Service if your wig is still in good condition, but the lace piece needs to be replaced.
Please note that a closure can only be replaced with another closure, and a frontal can only be replaced with another frontal. The size must also remain the same. For example, if your wig was made with a 5x5 closure, the replacement closure must also be 5x5.
This is important to maintain the original size and construction of your wig. Changing the lace type or size can affect the construction and fit of the wig, meaning it may no longer sit or fit as it should.
When should I book a Plucking Service?
Book a Plucking Service if you have a new, unused lace piece and would like the lace to be customized. The service includes both bleaching and plucking of the lace to create a more natural looking hairline.
Used lace pieces cannot be bleached or plucked.
When should I book a Colour Service?
Book a Colour Service if you would like your hair or lace piece coloured Jet Black.
Please keep in mind that coloured hair will eventually need a colour refresh. Washing and regular use of heat can cause the colour to fade over time.
You may also notice some greyish colour in the water when washing your bundles or lace piece. This is called colour bleeding and is a normal part of the colouring process.
Please be mindful when wearing your coloured hair with light coloured clothing, especially when the hair is wet, as the colour can transfer.
When should I book a Styling Service?
The styling services are designed to give your wig the finish and shape you want. The result of each styling service depends on the quality, condition and original texture of the hair. Hair that is in good condition will generally give a better and longer lasting result.
Pin Curls
Book a Pin Curl Service if you would like your wig styled with curls using pin curls. The hair is curled and set into place to create a defined and polished finish.
The final result can vary depending on the hair texture, quality and condition. Hair that has been heavily processed or damaged may not hold the curls in the same way as high quality, healthy hair.
Layers
Book a Layers Service if you would like layers cut into your wig. Layers can add shape, movement and dimension to the hair and can also help create a specific hairstyle.
The amount and length of the layers will be discussed according to your desired look and the length and density of your wig.
Straightening
Book a Straightening Service if you would like your wig styled straight using heat.
The final result depends on the quality and original texture of the hair. Some hair textures can be straightened beautifully, while other textures may not become completely straight or hold the result for as long.
Custom Styling
Custom Styling is for specific hairstyles that go beyond the standard styling services. This can include a particular updo, half up half down style, curls or another look based on your inspiration.
Custom Styling is only available by appointment. Please contact beforehand with your desired look and, preferably, an inspiration photo or video. We will discuss your wishes, what is possible with your wig and the applicable cost.
Custom Styling can also be done at your location. Travel and parking costs will be added to the service and are the customer’s responsibility.
What can I expect during my appointment?
Depending on the service you book, your appointment may consist of one or two appointments.
For wig making services, your first appointment includes taking your head measurements so your wig can be made specifically to your measurements. We will also discuss your preferences, desired style and any details you would like incorporated into the wig.
Your second appointment will be scheduled during your first appointment and is for fitting and collecting your finished wig.
If you are using your own hair, please bring all your bundles and your closure or frontal, if applicable.
If you have an inspiration photo or video for your desired look, it is helpful to bring this along. This allows us to discuss your preferences and what is possible with the hair you have.
Other services also consist of two appointments. The first appointment is for dropping off your wig, bundles or lace pieces and discussing your wishes and what is possible. The second appointment is for collecting your finished service.
How long does it take to complete my service?
The standard processing time for all services is 7 business days after your first appointment.
If you purchase hair from Celeste Hair, please allow an additional 7 to 14 business days for the hair order to be processed.
This is separate from the 7 business days needed to make your custom wig.
Please keep these processing times in mind when booking your appointment, especially if you need your order or service completed by a specific date.
Can I bring my own bundles and lace piece?
Yes, absolutely. You can bring your own bundles and lace piece, such as a closure or frontal.
If you are bringing your own bundles, please make sure they are washed, clean, completely dry and neatly prepared. The bundles and lace piece must be free from thread, glue and other residue. Bundles that have been cut into pieces shorter than 10 cm cannot be used for your wig.
You can also bring a previously used closure or frontal. However, used lace pieces cannot be customized. Bleaching and plucking are only available for new closures and frontals.
